Renumbering a Jack Panel

Jack Renumber is a VidCAD ReDoIt (Global Editing) command that allows you to make global changes to the drawing and the database at the same time. The Jack Renumber command can be used to assign a cable to a different position on the same jack panel or to another jack panel in the project. The Jack Renumber command does NOT rename an existing jack panel.

The following procedure will show you how to use the Jack Renumber command.

1.    Select “Jack Renumber” from the VidCAD Jacks ribbon or toolbar.

2.    Select the tip or start point of the jack you want to renumber (reassign).

Note: In this example we will reassign this connection from VJP01 to VJP04.

3.    Select the jack panel you want to reassign the selected position to.

4.    Select a new input and output position.

5.    The jack is now renumbered to the desired jack Sysname and position.

6.    Press “Esc” on your keyboard to exit out of the Jack Renumber command.
