Facility Overview

A facility (project) consists of multiple drawings representing one job that requires interconnecting sources such as sync and routers. When a facility is created, a folder with the name of the facility is created in the Projects directory (C:\VidCAD\Projects). All drawing files (.dwgs) will reside in the facility folder and all data will reside in the SQL database. Each time a Facility is created or added to the VidCAD Main Menu it is assigned a unique Facility ID number (see the section on Creating a Facility for information on locating the Facility ID number).

Using the VidCAD Main Menu, you must create facilities before you begin creating drawings. All facilities you add or create will appear on your VidCAD Main Menu.
