Ask for System Name

When adding equipment to a drawing in real mode or when transmutating phantom equipment, you have the option to see a “Select System Name” window which allows you to see (and modify) the Sysname that will be used for the equipment being added.

The following procedure will show you how to enable or disable the Ask for System name option.

1.    Select “Equipment Settings” from the VidCAD Equipment ribbon or toolbar.

2.    In the Diagram Equipment Settings window you can turn on or off the “Ask for System name” option.

3. If the Ask for System Name option is turned on, you will see the Select System Name window when adding new equipment to a project (in real mode) or when transmutating phantom equipment.

4.    If the Ask for System name option is turned off, you will bypass the Select System Name window when adding new equipment to a project (in real mode) or when transmutating phantom equipment.
